Hailing from near Nate's ancestral home in the Telemark region of Norway. Topaz has been manufacturing boots and slippers to keep winter at bay since the 80s!
In the 1980s, shoe technician Knut Reigstad moved to Ulefoss, Telemark, and started a shoe factory. The new factory was named after the precious topaz stone – a name that reflected the brilliance of the company's seal skin boots inspired by the Sami biekso and Inuit kamiks. Today Reigstad's four children operate the company with 30 employees across Europe.
