Week 41: Aktiv turns 1, Brandi rocks, Emmy Validation and Keane in heavy rotation.

The Latest from Aktiv: We just turned 1!! The last year has flown by and has been filled with a lot of lessons learned. We have both enjoyed getting to know the products, producers and process. We also like the fact that we don't have to be so serious all the time. Life (and clothing) should be fun!

What we are listening to: Leslie is still basking in the glow of seeing Brandi Carlile and has been reliving the concert daily. Nate has been checking out the latest from The Avett Brothers and the Highwomen (of which Brandi Carlile is a member), while playing the new Keane album into the ground, especially the tune, "Stupid Things" which has the catchiest hook you will hear. Check them out!

Movies/TV: Nate felt supreme validation while watching the Emmys last month when two of his favorites, "Barry" and "Fleabag" cleaned up. If you haven't watched them...put them at the top of your list. Oscar season seems to be underway and Joaquin Phoenix's performance in "The Joker" is spellbinding. Could he be the best Joker ever?

Sports this week: The NHL has started and the NBA preseason is underway with opening night less than 10 days away.  The NFL season is taking a year off in Denver... Across the pond, futbal is in full swing and your favorite, Chelsea Football Club, has shown some promise. #goBlues

Best thing we ate this week: We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Annette at Stanley in Aurora, Colorado. Chicken pate, gnocchi and roasted pork were the highlights. Annette has received local and national acclaim and rightly so. Delicious!

Best things we read this week: 1. Libraries should be built, admired and visited; 2. Have I mentioned that the NBA starts on October 16th??; and, 3. A kiss is not a contract, but should it be?
