July is here and hot!!!

And so it is July. The temperature is climbing just like the number of positive tests. Seriously people, just wear a mask! #thankyouforattendingmyTEDtalk

Movies/TV: Hamilton!!! If you haven't yet...dust off that free trial period for Disney + and enjoy the groundbreaking work of genius. The musical has been a part of our family for over 4 years and, yet, the 2.5 hours flies as you are transported into the theatre. The small screen version doesn't feel redundant to the live performance, in fact, just the opposite. The closeups and camera angles show off the skill of the actors and the crispness of the choreography. The music is amazing but could the dancing be better??? The highlight, for us, is "Satisfied", but there are so many good numbers!

Moving it along, as a family we finished our sprint through "Brooklyn 99" and came out the other side eagerly anticipating the next season! #bingpot Oh and we have dipped our toe into Quibi which releases daily shows that are less than 10 minutes for those on the go. Our favorite has been "Home Movie: The Princess Bride" which includes too many cameos to list. 

Sports this week: While the NBA and NHL continue the slow march to restart we have been enjoying the return of the Premier League with Chelsea's American hope, Christian Pulisic, living up to his billing! #goblues The Pride of London continue their push for a top four spot this week with critical (and winnable) matches against Sheffield United and Norwich. 

Reading Recommendations: 1. This interview collection by the Washington Post gives some great advice on how to navigate daily live with the virus; 2. Nate finished "Little Fires Everywhere" and found it an engaging snapshot of the nineties with themes that feel very relevant today; and 3. Kveik yeast from Western Norway has the craft beer world buzzing!
